Our Year 7 Mathematics course covers numbers and basic algebra including algebraic expressions and equations, shapes and geometry including triangles, circles, and quadrilaterals, measurement concepts including perimeter, area, and volume calculations, and introduction to probability and statistics. These foundational topics prepare students for more advanced mathematical concepts.

Yes. ProEd’s Year 7 Mathematics program not only covers the full NSW syllabus but also goes beyond it. We extend our lessons to include enrichment topics often taught in selective and top private schools—such as binary numbers, modulus arithmetic, matrices, and set theory—to challenge students and broaden their mathematical thinking.

The best time to start Year 7 at ProEd is in Term 4 of Year 6. Our Year 7 program runs across four terms, and by beginning in Term 4 of Year 6, students stay one full term ahead of school content.
