Students explore key literary eras including Romanticism, Modernism, and Post-Modernism in Term 1, developing an understanding of historical and cultural contexts that shape various texts and enhance analytical skills.

Term 2 focuses on Shakespeare, with a combination of text analysis and short response practice. Term 3 deepens appreciation of 19th-century texts while encouraging critical thinking through an independent research project.

Short response practice, included in Terms 2 and 3, helps students refine concise analytical writing skills essential for school assessments and prepares them for higher-level English studies.

Each term includes targeted school assessment preparation, ensuring students develop exam strategies and receive comprehensive practice and feedback aligned with syllabus requirements to boost confidence and results.
